Patricia H. Marion Patricia has over 20 years of experience in counseling youth, single and married young adults as well as those dealing with the challenges of midlife and beyond. Having served as the Director of the Singles, Couples and New Member Ministries at the Myers Park Presbyterian Church in Charlotte, NC and as Associate Pastor of Mission and Nurture at the First Presbyterian Church in Greenwich, CT, Patricia has counseled hundreds of people concerning issues related to career and work, marriage, parenting, divorce, addiction, depression, grief, illness and death. Holding a Master of Divinity degree earned from Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary in South Hamilton, MA, she was ordained by the Presbyterian Church USA in 2000 and is continuing her education at the Carolinas Institute for Pastoral Counseling in Charlotte, NC. Locally, she provided leadership for efforts such as building houses for Habitat for Humanity, serving dinners at homeless shelters and delivering food to those living on the streets of New York, NY. Internationally, Patricia has participating in the leadership and decision making process to raise and disperse funds for schools and hospitals in Malawi and the Congo, led charitable trips to the border of Mexico and El Salvador, traveled with charitable groups to Kenya and Guatemala and hosted 10 spiritual leaders from around the world to take part in programs of peace and understanding in the United States. |
