Catherine Carstaphen

Catherine Carstarphen, M.Div is an advanced resident pastoral psychotherapist and is a graduate of the Carolina Institute for Clinical Pastoral Training. A graduate of Queens College, she received her Masters of Divinity at Emory University’s Candler School of Theology. She is also a D.Min candidate in pastoral psychotherapy at Louisville Presbyterian Theological Seminary. In Atlanta, Catherine interned at Hospice Atlanta and the Atlanta Urban Ministry.

Catherine’s interests lie in traditional psychotherapy with specialties in chronic pain and those clients suffering from substance abuse. She is in the process of becoming a licensed substance abuse counselor. With a background in art and an interest in Jungian psychology, Catherine will utilize mandalas with some clients as a way of developing wholeness and personal growth. 

A member of the American Association of Pastoral Counselors, Catherine practices in the Charlotte, Belmont and Gastonia offices of PSCC.
