Reginald V. Blackmon, Sr.

Reginald Blackmon comes to Presbyterian Samaritan Counseling Center as a Counseling Intern, as he works to complete the dual Master of Divinity/Master of Counseling program offered through Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary in Charlotte, NC. 

Feeling called into the ministry after twenty-five years of management level experience in the business world, Reginald brings to his work an understanding of corporate culture.  Currently, Reginald serves as a Fitness Instructor and Healthy Lifestyle Coach at the Gateway YMCA in Charlotte.  Trained and certified by Stanford University to coach and facilitate a Healthy Lifestyle Program designed by Stanford University for long term behavior change, Reginald facilitates groups of individuals seeking to incorporate healthy changes in their lives.

Reginald is an active member of Friendship Missionary Baptist Church, has served on Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools Committees and Task Force, has been a member of the Board of Directors for several non-profit organizations, and among other awards, has received the Urban Bankers Community Service Award, the North Carolina Governors Award for Community Service in Statesville, NC.
